Born: 1958 in Rhamu, Mandera County, Kenya
- Served as Chair, Finance & Budget Committee, Kenya Senate 2013 – 2017

First elected to Kenya National Assembly & served as MP, Mandera Central Constituency 2003 -2007

Served as Shadow Finance Minister in the Official Opposition 2003 – 2007. Also served in various other committees of the House, including Chair, Parliamentary Network on World Bank, East Africa Chapter.
- A fellow of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (FCPA) and a ranking member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK). A member of the Institute of Directors (IOD) Kenya. A certified trainer in corporate governance.
- Worked previously with Price Waterhouse Coopers, Kenya. Now a businessman.
